PEACE on Earth!

Evolution of a Book

In 1990, I self-published a short tract titled Managing Feelings. It was based on my work as a psychotherapist and was about 40 pages in an 8 by 10 inch format. I soon tired of trying to sell it and sent it to several publishers. One of them, Health Communications, Inc. of Florida, accepted it and published it in 1991 in a much changed format (4 by 6 inches) and called it Men and Feelings.

In 2004 I significantly expanded and updated the text and Conari Press published it as Nothing's Wrong: A Man's Guide to Managing His Feelings. This text is currently available. (See book at right)

Managing Feelings: An Owner's Manual for Men

Men and Feelings: Understanding the Male Experience

Both Quiet Mind and Moments In Between are best sellers for Conari Press.

One in Three

Three of my books are really just one book. In 2000, Everyday Serenity: Meditations for people who do too much was published in a small format (see photo, below) as a little meditation book.

Everyday Serenity (Still Available)

Later that year, Conari Press decided to re-issue the book in a new format as Quiet Mind: One-Minute Retreats from a Busy World. This has become a best-seller.

In 2006, Conari came out with Moments in Between: The Art of the Quiet Mind. This is a "coffee table" book in hard cover and richly illustrated with great photography, and very slightly abridged.

Three books, one text!

Awakened Mind contains more than a hundred reflections on life, gratitude, creativity, diversity, and spirituality, each with an inspiring quotation and an idea for putting that meditation to use in daily life. This remarkable collection of insights shows us how living in a state of awareness about the reality that always exists in front of our faces, under our noses, or just below the surface of every moment, is one sure way to live life more fully and joyfully.

Quiet Mind
Quiet Mind: One Minute Retreats from a Busy World is a best seller probably because it gets to the heart of what causes so many of us distress: lack of quiet and peaceful time in our too busy lives. Based on "Stopping," Quiet Mind presents brief, easy-to-read reflections on how to find serene and peaceful space in very busy days.
